A RESCUE service will be launched at the Manningtree market to help wild animals.
We Care will be a non-profit, rescue, rehabilitation and information organisation, which is raising funds to buy essential equipment, including food, an aviary, carriers, materials, and a mobile phone which will operate as an on-call 24/7 emergency number.
The founders, Gill Lewis and Debbie Burrows are launching it at the Friday market on September 26.
Gill Lewis, of Brantham, was an experienced animal rescuer and had previously ran a rescue for many years.
Debbie Burrows, of Oxford Road, Manningtree said: “We are just at the beginning of building We Care, it has been evolving over the last year and a half.
“We’ve had a few local businesses interested in sponsoring us.”
