A CITIZENS Advice team has celebrated 80 years of helping the community solve its problems.
Maldon and District Citizens Advice marked its 80th anniversary with a stall in Maldon High Street.
A team of trained volunteers spoke with members of the public about the work of the service, which offers advice on benefits, managing money and housing.
A spokesman said: "While thankfully the nation isn’t experiencing the same immediate physical danger as it was in wartime Britain, we’re still reaching those in need of help 80 years on."
Citizens Advice has locations at the council offices in Princes Road, Maldon which is open five days a week.
The other two locations; Southminster's United Reformed Church in North Street and at Station House in Station Approach, Burnham are open on Tuesday and Thursday respectively.
