A COMPETITION winner will take to the stage to perform alongside a Lady Gaga tribute act on tour.

Jodie Hunt, of Ramsey Road, Dovercourt, has won a competition to perform a ten-minute guest spot in the A Star Is Born This Way tour at the Princes Theatre, in Clacton.

The event will start at 7.30pm on October 11.

During the night the country’s number one Lady Gaga tribute, and consecutive winner of Best National Female Tribute Artist, Donna Marie, will be transforming into the pop icon.

Donna, who has also been a judge on the BBC’s All Together Now, will be singing a range of Lady Gaga’s songs from the Star is Born hits from the Hollywood blockbuster, to Just Dance.

Jodie, who is a singer and holiday park entertainer will be opening the second half of the show.

She said: “Things like this have never happened to me so I am completely and utterly over the moon and I genuinely can’t wait.

“It is an amazing feeling and I’m really excited.

“It will be the biggest crowd I’ve ever had.”

The 20-year-old will be performing Somebody to Love by Queen because this song was her first ever performance in year 11 at the Manningtree High School in front of her classmates.

She tries to be as much in the music industry as possible, by running a children’s disco company, performing as a cabaret singer, auditioning for the Voice, singing at events and performing in musicals.
