Firefighters battle for eight hours after 300 tonnes of straw catches light
FIREFIGHTERS battled for eight hours after 300 tonnes of baled straw caught alight.
The fire was in Haynes Green Road, Layer Marney.
Crews from Colchester and Tiptree were called to the scene at 11.30pm on Wednesday and worked overnight until it was extinguished at 8am
The cause of the fire is unknown.
