A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital after a crash at London Road, in Westcliff.
Police confirmed the biker sustained a "potentially serious" leg injury.
Eye-witness, Lauren Scotto, said: "It seems quite serious.
"Lots of police are diverting traffic and paramedics are attending to someone laying on the floor.
"There is also a fire engine there."
One ambulance van, a fire engine, and two police cars are at the scene by Trading Rooms pub.
A spokesman for Essex Police, said: "We were called by the ambulance service at 2.55pm on Monday October 21 to a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike in London Road, Westcliff.
"It was reported the rider of the motorbike, a man, had sustained a potentially serious leg injury."
A spokesman for Essex Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 3.23pm with reports of a collision in London Road, Westcliff.
"We sent one ambulance, which is still at the scene."
