PEOPLE have been invited to join the biggest quiz of the year in Manningtree.

The charity event will recap all the major events of 2019.

After the festive period visitors can sit back, relax and work out those brain cells by signing up to the final quiz of the year.

The Red Lion pub, in South Street, Manningtree, has organised the Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2019.

People will be tested on whether they have paid attention to the highs and lows of the year.

Organisers will be testing if people have been swatting up on who’s who, what is what, what is hot and not over 2019.

Quizmaster Narran Wright said: “It’s a fun, silly, slightly rude video quiz, where all money goes to charity.”

The quiz, based on the TV show presented by Jimmy Carr, will be examining whether people “were awake” in the past year or not.

The event will take place on Saturday from 8pm to 11pm.

The organisers are looking for teams of six people.

Teams will need to book their places in advance.

To take part, people will have to pay £5, which will go towards raising money for Crohn’s & Colitis UK charity, which focuses on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, which are the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease, affecting more than 300,000 people in the country.

It is largely a hidden disease, and one that causes stigma, fear and isolation. It is thought many people with the condition go undiagnosed and suffer in silence.

To book a place, call the Red Lion on 01206 391880.
