CENTENARIAN Maisie Bradford might not be able to dance anymore but it doesn’t stop her enjoying the music from her chair.
Mrs Bradford marked her landmark birthday with a party with family and friends.
In her youth, she loved to dance with her late husband but nowadays likes watching and “chair-dancing” to the live musical entertainment put on at Lime Court care home in Dovercourt.
Mrs Bradford was born in Garland Road, Parkeston, having two children Vivien and Derek, who visit her regularly.
When asked what the secret to her long life is, she said: “I used to love being outside on the open air”.
During the Second World War she used to work on the farms and boasted she could lift an 100kg bag of potatoes.
Mrs Bradford said she was overwhelmed to received more than 70 birthday cards including one from the Queen.
