CLACTON Amateur Dramatic Society will be returning next week with the hilarious comedy thriller - Twist - which will take audiences on a corkscrew ride of suspense and excitement.

The group’s spring production will take place at the West Cliff Theatre in Clacton.

The production is a hilarious spoof of the much-loved theatrical thriller, where nobody is what they seem and nothing is what it should be.

Twist, written by Miles Tredinnick, will leave the audience confused, amused and wondering if they will ever be able to guess the mystery.

The show is about David Woods, a mild-mannered accountant who sees a sensational way of making a fortune by writing a kiss-and-tell biography about his venomous wife, Sarah, who is the nation’s favourite actress from the hit soap Doctors and Nurses.

He then realises his book will do even better if she is murdered first, but unfortunately, a few obstacles get in his way.

With all the ingredients people would expect of a first-class thriller, the cunning twists and turns will take audiences on a whirlwind ride of emotions.

A spokesman for the society said: “Just when you think you know what is going to happen next, think again, as Twist catches you out one more time before the breath-taking denouement.”

Mr Tredinnick said: “It is a stylish thriller, with a Tarantino edge.”

The production will take place between Thursday, March 5, and Saturday, March 7, with nightly shows starting at 7.30pm.

However, they will also provide a Saturday matinee starting at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 per person including booking fee.
