A ROTARY club helped to raise hundreds of pounds for a food charity.
The Manningtree Rotary club hosted its annual Rotary quiz last weekend and raised £520 for Mary’s Meals.
Rotary president, Sue Clarks chose the charity, which sets up school feeding programmes in some of the world’s poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education.
They provide a daily meal, in a place of education, for children, feeding 1,667,067 children every school day.
A spokesman for the rotary club said: “After an evening of fun and brain teasing from quiz master David Willis, the evening raised an incredible £520.
“The Rotary Club of Manningtree Stour Valley could not provide the support we do without the fantastic support we receive from the local community.”
