STANWAY Rovers joint-assistant manager Adam Munn believes his side are showing "desire, togetherness and hunger" at a pivotal point in the season.

Danny Slatter's men are third in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division after an eye-catching 1-0 victory at fellow high-fliers Wroxham on Tuesday.

They have ten games left to finish as strongly as possible - starting with tomorrow's tricky trip to Mildenhall Town.

And Munn believes his team have all the right ingredients to finish their season with a flourish.

"From our previous encounter back in January, we knew Wroxham was going to be an extremely hard place to go," he said, reflecting on Tuesday's stunning victory at Trafford Park.

"They're one of the best sides we've played this season and are a very disciplined team, who want to move the ball and create opportunities.

"Coming away with three points was not only vitally important for the current top-three tussle but also a huge result for our club.

"The squad showed a desire, togetherness and hunger to come away with the points.

"Performances like these show how far the team have come this season and their belief and trust in not only one another but their trust in us, as a management team."

Munn felt one of the big highlights of Tuesday's win was a full 90 minutes for his fellow assistant manager, Craig Hughes.

The former Colchester United youngster has been sidelined all season with an ACL injury.

"There were standout performances across the pitch but, on a personal note, although it was different just having Slatts and I in the dugout, it was fantastic to see Craig get his first 90 minutes of the season," said Munn.

"Having undergone surgery back in October, his dedication to get back before the end of the season is a testament to his attitude."

Curtis Haynes-Brown's great strike secured the points at Wroxham and Rovers were also indebted to a vital late save from goalkeeper Luke Skinner.

Tomorrow's trip to Mildenhall is the first of three consecutive away games, with an eagerly-awaited League Cup semi-final at Norwich United to follow on Tuesday.

Elsewhere in the premier division this weekend, FC CLACTON head to Thetford Town.

The Seasiders will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Godmanchester Rovers.

They had been due to host Woodbridge Town in midweek but the match was postponed, because of the waterlogged state of the Austin Arena pitch.
