COLOURFUL rainbows have been put up in windows to show our appreciation to key workers and frontline NHS staff.
Sarah Davies, Harwich windows competition organiser, has announced this year’s event has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
As a result, Hayley Forrest, of West Street, Harwich, a competition participant, has decided to jump on the rainbow bandwagon.
She said because the competition wasn’t going ahead anymore she has created a unique rainbow display during the lockdown.
“I intend to add some Easter bunnies to my window display soon so children can spot these too,” she added.
“We are hoping this will help unite the community through a bit of fun in these challenging times.
"It would be lovely to have more join in with ready for next weeks Easter time.”
People have been asked to email their rainbow pictures to hms.news@newsquest.co.uk
