A VAN, which got stuck under the railway bridge in Manningtree, has been cleared.
Coxs Hill south has been partially blocked due to the accident near the roundabout with Station Road.
The van was shortly able to free itself from under the bridge and traffic has resumed in both directions.
An Essex Police spokesman has confirmed nobody was injured.
British Transport Police spokesman said they were called at 11.47am following a report of a vehicle hitting a railway bridge at Manningtree station.
"The rail operator has been informed and the bridge will be examined for damage."
