A 19-YEAR-OLD man who was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder has had his bail extended.

Kerrin Repman, 29, was killed when the motorbike he was riding was struck by a BMW in Marine Parade, Dovercourt, on the afternoon of April 15.

A 70-year-old pedestrian was also injured during the incident.

A murder investigation was then launched into his death as police believed Mr Repman was the target of a hit-and-run.

A 19-year-old man from Stanstead Abbotts, in Hertfordshire, who arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder was released on bail until Tuesday, May 19.

An Essex Police spokesman has now confirmed his bail has been extended until July 17.

In April, following Mr Repman's death, a 46-year-old man and a 54-year-old man were both released under investigation.

A 33-year-old woman from Waltham Cross, in Hertfordshire, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has also been released under investigation. 

Detectives are continuing to search for Keith McCarthy, 40, who they want to speak to in connection with Mr Repman's death.

He is described as being 5ft 5ins tall and is believed to have links to Harwich, Hertfordshire, London and Ireland.
