A NORTH Essex village has been named as one of the most 'Instagrammable' in Britain, according to new research.
Property website Bankrate has compiled a list of the prettiest hamlets in the country by using image-sharing site Instagram and assessing the number of hashtags 100 villages dotted around the UK each had.
Then it created a top 20 ranking of the most hashtagged villages.
Dedham, in the heart of Constable Country, was named in the 11th place with 57,078 hits.
It came above the likes of Lynmouth in Devon, Wankworth in Northumberland and Leavenheath in neighbouring Suffolk.
Dedham is world famous for its connection to artist John Constable, whose paintings immortalised the surrounding scenery and nearby Flatford Mill.
It is one of the most popular tourist areas in the Colchester borough and attracts thousands of visitors every years.
If you are planning a trip there's plenty to do, with boat trips on the River Stour on offer, award-winning pub The Sun Inn as well as the Marlborough Head and a number of gift shops and cafes.
