A BARBERSHOP owner is celebrating her tenth anniversary as a sole trader.
Alison Rapson started hairdressing in 1990, and after eight years in the business she decided to join the Royal Military Police in the Army and served in Germany.
After moving back to Harwich she opened her own barbershop in Birch avenue, Dovercourt, in 2010 as she still had a flair for hairstyling.
A decade on, Ms Rapson is now proudly celebrating Studio Barbershop's milestone.
The 48-year-old mum of two said: “I feel very fortunate to have stayed in business as a sole trader for ten years so far.
"I owe that to my lovely clients and friends for their support, especially during these uncertain times of coronavirus. With their help and encouragement, I am hoping there will be another ten years - and more - of trading.”
As a thank you she is offering a year of free haircuts to a lucky winner.
