A MAN was injured in a crash involving a van.
Police shut Clifton Road in Newhaven shortly after 9am following the collision.
They were joined at the scene by fire and ambulance crews, and the emergency teams worked together to deal with the incident.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to Clifton Road, Newhaven, shortly before 9am to reports of a collision between a car and a van.
"The road was temporarily closed while emergency services responded to the matter.
"One man was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious."
The road was reopened shortly before 11am.
