BURGLARS broke into a glamping and holiday park development and made off with goods worth £4,000.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the burglary at the Constable Park development in Bergholt Road, Brantham.

The break-in happened on Monday, sometime between 4.30pm and 9pm.

Four lodges, the café and toilet block were broken into.

A quantity of sanitary ware, worth about £4,000, was taken along with a number of hand and power tools.

The park is being built by Ian and Sarah Williams who run Anglia Adventures.

Following the incident, a statement on the park's Facebook page said: "Ian and I are devastated that Constable Park was targeted by thieves.

"They smashed their way into all the buildings and have set us back significantly.

"Any information is gratefully received."

The couple hoped to have the park completely by next May, and once it is finished it will be a retreat for kayakers, paddleboarders and glampers.

Witnesses or anybody with any information about the break-in are asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101 quoting reference 37/66759/20.
