A SUSSEX Police officer is facing allegations that he superimposed a female colleague's face on to a pornographic picture as a secret Santa gift.

Hastings-based police sergeant Rob Adams will attend a public hearing today following a series of claims.

It is alleged that he created a secret santa gift by cutting a picture of a naked woman from a pornographic magazine, covering the genital areas with stickers and superimposing a female colleague's face on to the image before mounting it in a frame in December 2017.

It is also claimed that PS Adams was responsible for innapropriate behaviour in a Whatsapp group consisting of himself and about 20 other police constables between 2017 and 2019.

He is reported to have:

  • Sent explicit and/or pornographic material to colleagues
  • Instigated and/or participated in conversations of a sexual nature
  • Instigated and/or participated in conversations that were derogatory about colleagues
  • Instigated and/or participated in conversations about the physical appearance of female colleagues

PS Adams will appear before a public hearing held by Sussex Police today and tomorrow.

A notice of the hearing states: "PS Rob Adams CA640 based at Hastings will face allegations that his conduct amounts to a breach of Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of:
