A UNIQUE shop which sells both alcohol and vinyl records has taken even further steps to become more eco-friendly.

Winyl, in South Street, Manningtree, was opened in 2018 by founders Whilmari Swift and partner Steve Tattam.

In a bid to better reduce their own impacts on the planet, the business owners have introduced a zero waste range of refillable wine.

Once the alcohol is gone, the shop takes the bottle back, and deducts 50p off the next bottle purchased.

They are then sent back to Borough Wines in London, where they are rinsed and refilled.

Winyl has also now introduced a cork recycling station in-store from Recorked UK, which who donates money to a clean water charity.

Additionally, Whilmari and Steve have just imported an organic French gin which can too be refilled on site to prevent customers from discarding unnecessary waste.
