A YOUNG girl was offered the exciting chance to enforce the law following an extra special visit from a police officer.

The lucky three-year-old, Kayleigh-Mae Brewer, dressed in her finest police uniform and was allowed to play with the blue lights in the force’s vehicle.

It was organised by Fern Lovett, a community engagement manager from TeenTalk Harwich, who managed to get PC Duffett to make the young girl’s day.

TeenTalk have been on a mission to spread positivity in Harwich by sharing messages to make the community smile following a tough year.

Young people involved with the initiative have painted onto stones and wooden disks and are leaving them across the Tendring district.

It has gained so much traction the police have had to get involved, although fortunately they too wanted to spread the good feelings.

A statement from Essex Police said: “Kayleigh-Mae was looking very smart in her uniform and got to play with the blue lights on the police vehicle.

“We would like to thank Kayleigh-Mae for being a fantastic police officer and surprising PCSO Duffett with the wonderful wooden disc she had made for him, this will take pride of place in our office at Harwich police station.

“We continue to leave the positive message discs around Harwich and surrounding villages. Please remember if you find one of these discs you can message TeenTalk.”
