TRAINS are severely disrupted following an issue with the wires this morning.
Problems with the overhead wires at Manningtree caused some lines to be blocked.
Train services running through the station are being cancelled, delayed or revised as a result.
The issue began when the 10.30am Liverpool Street to Norwich service developed power issues due to an overhead wire tripping in the Manningtree area.
An engineer has been dispatched to the site with the train, while a rescue unit is also present.
Greater Anglia has said disruption should be expected until 4pm.
They added: "The fault cannot be rectified and as a result will need the assistance of an engineer.
"As a result, train services from Colchester to Ipswich will be disrupted.
"Some services may terminate at Colchester, others may be delayed or cancelled until the fault has been rectified."
