PLANS have been submitted for another block of flats as part of a new residential development in Dovercourt.

G&K Groundworks Ltd has applied to Tendring Council to build nine self-contained flats on unused land west of Vicarage Farm House in Langley Close.

The structure would include seven one-bedroom flats and two two-bedroom flats.

The developer said the principle of residential development at the site is “well established” and that it neighbours a modern three-storey block of flats.

But Lisa Clover, from Langley Close, has objected to the proposal.

She said: “The flats already at Langley Close have a car park that is already hard to park in, there is no space for further parking spaces for nine more flats.

“It would mean using the same access.”

A decision is expected to made by Tendring Council in July.
