A SCHOOL has had to close its year six bubble after two pupils tested positive for covid.
Mayflower School, in Dovercourt, confirmed two of its year six pupils tested positive for the virus.
The school’s headteacher Elizabeth Bartholomew said: “We do have two confirmed cases in year six and have closed that bubble, as current rules dictate.
“It has not affected any other bubbles as they are not allowed anywhere near each other. It is business as usual here.”
Mrs Bartholomew added leaver celebrations for the pupils have now been planned for next month.
