A TOP student was presented with an award celebrating her achievements during her first year at secondary school.
Isla Thurlow received the Manningtree and District/Frankenberg Partnership Association’s Anna Foster Award for fantastic progress in her German studies at Manningtree High School.
The annual award is given to a Year 7 student by the school on behalf of the partnership in recognition of the progress they are making in learning German, in the hope it will encourage them to get off to a good start at school.
Isla, who lives in Dovercourt, received a cash award and a photographic guidebook sent from Frankenberg with a personal message of congratulations.
This year, the partnership was due to celebrate its 50th anniversary but plans have once again had to be postponed due to Covid-19.
However, Isla was able to join the group at a garden party with her parents to celebrate her achievement and collect her award.
