THE owner of a newly-refurbished bar which features a vintage car inside has said he wants the venue to be a landmark in the community.

Robert Beke, who runs Roberts Café, Bar and Restaurant, in High Street, Dovercourt, is now looking forward to sharing his plans.

The bar will now remain open for late night revellers until 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays, while drinks and lunch are available.

Mr Beke, 33, said the set-up had been “challenging”.

“We are excited to be a part of this town and to build a strong sense of community,” he said.
