PRIMARY SCHOOL pupils have been awarded for taking part in two competitions over the summer break.
The Two Village Primary School in Ramsey held their annual Sunflower growing contest, along with a geography-themed competition.
Ivy Slide, 6, scooped the prize for the gardening challenge, after growing a super sunflower to a gigantic 3.82 metres.
This earned her a bug hotel and vegetable seeds, which will further feed her gardening passion.
Siblings Bluebelle Coquard from Year 2 and her brother George Coquard from Year 3 were also announced winners for the geography competition, which had separate quizzes for key stage 1 and 2.
The competition coincided with the start of the Olympic Games and included questions about flags, currencies and anagrammed-place names as well as puzzles.
The results came after a tie-braker.
Headteacher Natasha Bennett said: "A huge well done to all of our wonderful children who took part.
“These competitions show how, here at Two Village, whilst we do focus on the quality teaching of Reading, Writing and Maths, we really do also foster, embrace and celebrate the broader curriculum and key life skills."
