From drug drivers to harrassment - it's been another busy time in the south Essex magistrates courts. 

Here's our run down on the hearings in the court rooms.

Aldis Buikis, 44, of Cheltenham Road, Southend was charged with droving a motor vehicle, namely Silver Mercedes in Southchurch Boulevard, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your breath, namely 136 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.

A warrant for arrest was issued without bail due to no appearance in answer to bail.

Hamza Cicekdagli, 31, of Coleman Street, Southend was charged with assaulting a man by beating him. He was given a community order and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work, fined £250, £95 and £250.

Callum Choat, 23, of Nightingale Close, Southend was charged with possessing a quantity of Cocaine, with intent to supply it, possessing a quantity of cannabis a controlled drug of class B with intent to supply it, possession in private, namely Westwell, a weapon, namely a knuckle duster. All matters were committed to Basildon Crown Court for sentence on October 29.

Michael Dickson, 23, of Jermayns, Basildon was charged with without reasonable excuse, contacting a woman which he was were prohibited from doing by a restraining order. A MAN has been fined after driving a car without a test certificate for the vehicle. John Bruton, 36, of Alderney Gardens, Wickford appeared at magistrates court charged with using a motor vehicle on a road without a valid test certificate. On February 8 in Basildon in Pound Lane he drove a Ford Fiesta and as respects which no test certificate had been issued within the appropriate period. He was handed a fine of £220.00, £34.00 and £90.00.

A DRUG and speeding driver has been fined in court. Charlie King, 29, of Lower Park Road, Wickford was driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit. He was driving the Vauxhall Corsa, in Stanford Road, Grays on May 5 last year. He was found to be driving with cannabis in his blood. He appeared at Southend Magistrates Court on October 1. King was fined £200, £34 and £145 and also disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for a year during the court hearing
