AN alternative duo are preparing to rock a popular town centre venue to its core as part of a tour stop-off in support of their latest release.

Pave The Jungle, formed in 2019 by guitarist and singer Rachael Whittle and drummer Scott Jeffery, will fill Three Wise Monkeys, in Colchester, with arena-sized tunes.

The two-piece, who operate in a similar vein to the likes of Blood Red Shoes and Deap Vally, have recently dropped their newest single, Lucky Ones.

The show in Colchester is part of a 12-date national tour – a platform off which the band can push their ferocious and pounding new track to the masses.

The single, taken from their forthcoming Waiting For Nothing EP, finds the duo in reflective form and is a blitz critique of small-town life in the UK.

Pave The Jungle will perform at Three Wise Monkeys on November 11 from 8pm, alongside support band F.O.L.

Tickets, which cost £6 when purchased in advance or £8 if bought on the door on the evening of the show, are available by visiting pavethejungle.com/tour.
