A SUCCESSFUL author will launch a brand new book when he visits pupils at a school in Dovercourt.

Nate Wrey will meet pupils at The Mayflower Primary School next month to officially unveil his latest paperback, Moog: The Prehistoric Genuis.

The humorous rhyming book, which is accompanied by comical cartoon illustrations, investigates what many consider to be the greatest inventions of all time.

The inception and impact of everything from tools, fire, clothing, art, animals and the wheel to boats, ceramics, alcohol, bread, framing and writing are explored.

On the day of his visit Nate will be welcomed by a hall of pupils with a penchant for reading and writing before he shares his new story and leads a range of activities.

Alexandra Larue, curriculum and Key Stage 2 school phase leader at The Mayflower Primary School, says she cannot wait for award-winner Nate to showcase his book.

She said: “It is a big deal for us because a class were instrumental in helping him prepare his book by helping edit and suggesting vocabulary for him to use.”
