A MAN has been fined more than £200 after dodging a train fare.
Ben Watson, 40, of Church Street, Harwich, was caught travelling between Manningtree and Dovercourt on September 13, when he failed to present a valid ticket for his journey.
The offence was proved in absence at City Of London Magistrates' Court.
Watson was fined £220 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34.
He must also pay compensation of £5.10
