Man from Dovercourt fined after damaging doors of bus in Colchester
A MAN from Dovercourt has been fined after destroying the door of a bus in Colchester.
Lee Lucas, 41, of Nelson Road, admitted a charge of criminal damage when he appeared before Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard he damaged the door of an Arriva bus, causing £169 damage, in Colchester on March 29 last year.
He was fined £318, must pay £169 compensation, £105 costs and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
He was found not guilty of a separate charge of causing racially-aggravated harassment, alarm or distress.
