A MAN from Great Oakley must fork out almost £400 after being found guilty of dodging a £3.50 train fare.

Benjamin Blacker, 37, of Harwich Road, travelled on a South Eastern train at Plumstead in London on November 25 last year.

Bexley Magistrates' Court heard he travelled without having paid his fare of £3.50 and with intent to avoid payment.

The case was proved in Blacker's absence on July 6.

He was fined £220, ordered to pay £3.60 compensation, £135 costs and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
