A MAN from Harwich will be forced to stump up more than £300 after throwing a cigarette on the ground.
Ray Tanner, of Parkeston Road, threw or dropped the litter in Chadwell Avenue, Romford, on November 15 last year.
Barkingside Magistrates' Court heard he left the cigarette on the ground.
The case was proved using the single justice procedure, which means it was decided by a single magistrate and defendants don't have to appear in court.
Tanner was fined £150, ordered to pay £150 costs and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
