Group Manager Lee Wilkins said: “Unfortunately the fire at one point was moving towards some of the residential properties.

“I’m very pleased to say that the crews worked extremely hard and managed to stop the fire and prevent any spread to residential premises.

“Unfortunately, some outbuildings and sheds were affected by the fire.

“Please avoid using bonfires and portable bonfires where possible and please be careful where disposing lit cigarettes from car windows and disposing of litter.”
