A COUNCIL has announced plans for a street party in celebration of King Charles’ coronation this year.
Manningtree Town Council will host the party in collaboration with Essex Freemasons, Manningtree Rotary Club, Stour Sailing Club and Manningtree District Business Chamber.
A spokeswoman for the event said: “During this time of austerity we are keen to keep costs low, but throw a party for our residents nevertheless.”
The council is inviting food concessions and entertainment providers to get in touch with expression of interest by emailing clerk@manningtreetowncouncil.org.uk.
Sponsors are also welcome to contact the council.
The event is set to take place in the afternoon of Sunday, May 7, more details will follow once a road closure has been secured.
