A CRICKET club is set to launch its new season with its annual signing on event for junior players and adults.
Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club will host the event which will have a raffle for attendees and a disco.
The club is looking for support from the community following a tough winter and residents are encouraged to sign on or spread the word.
Sam Good, Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club committee member, said: “Memberships range from junior and adult playing memberships to social and family memberships with several benefits on offer for new registrants.
“The signing-on event will take place on Saturday, March 25, in West End Lane from 7pm until midnight and a free strip of raffle tickets will be given to members who are paid up by 9pm.
“Benefits include reduced bar prices and match fees for the season.”
The club is also set to launch a big fundraiser to rebuild its nets as part of a commitment to improving children and young adults activity levels through cricket.
Last year’s Junior training sessions attracted hundreds of attendees each week and will launch again this summer.
