A BROKEN down train near at Manningtree has cancelled trains from London through to Ipswich and Norwich.
A recent update from Greater Anglia has told rail users a network engineering train has suffered a fault which rail staff have been unable to fix, resulting in services being cancelled or delayed at short notice.
Trains from London to Ipswich are now terminating at Colchester, with replacement buses in place to complete the rest of the journey.
A tweet from Greater Anglia read: βDue to a broken down train at Manningtree, some lines are blocked.

Train services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until further notice.

βAs a result, train services between Liverpool Street and Ipswich and Norwich will be delayed, altered, or cancelled at short notice.β
βThe train requires assistance and a rescue train has been sourced and on route to Manningtree β a fitter is also en-route.
βAt present, the Liverpool Street to Ipswich services will terminate and start from Colchester.
