THE Harwich inshore lifeboat was launched after concerns were raised for a capsized fishing vessel.

The boat carrying two people had been seen near Felixstowe Ferry.

Upon arriving at the scene, it was discovered both individuals had safely made it to shore, however, the Coastguard requested the lifeboat remain on scene.

The vessel was found partially submerged and heeling over and, whilst other fishing boats were trying to help recover the vessel, the tide was rising which potentially complicated the situation further.

After an inspection, it was determined the best plan of action would be for the vessel's owner to return when the water is low to install pumping methods.
