A BOOK lover has realised her dream of becoming an author after publishing her very own paperback.

Avid writer Debbie Mant, from Harwich, has just published her very first suspense novel, entitled Nine Lives Of Kat.

The book is a suspense drama and thriller about a young woman named Kat who lives in a flat which she shares with friend Sarah.

During a home invasion in the dingy, forgotten village of Smith Cove, Kat goes missing, which sets off a chain of events which shake the community.

The story quickly becomes a race against the clock as readers learn more about Kat and her past while also trying to find out what has happened to her before it's too late.

"Everyone is a suspect and every lead the police follow keeps them one step behind," says a description for the book.

"Will they find Kat before it's too late? Or will a village full of lies unravel a devastating secret from Kat's past ending in tragedy?"

Debbie has always enjoyed writing and has long dreamt of having her work published, with the support and positive feedback she has already received being a welcome confidence booth.

Debbie is now working hard on her second book.

Nine Lives Of Kat by Debbie Mant can be found now on Amazon.
