THE first bricks have been laid for a new development in East Bergholt that is providing almost 150 properties.
Constable Gardens, in Moores Lane, is set to deliver a collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties and also underpin around 288 jobs for local people during its time.
Among the 144 properties in the new community, 50 have been allocated as affordable homes.
Tom Wright, managing director at David Wilson Homes, said: “Our Constable Gardens development is starting to take shape nicely and we’re proud to have unveiled a range of high-quality properties for prospective buyers in this fantastic location.
“Throughout the development’s progression, we will be contributing to the local community through the new homes provided, jobs supported and our financial investment in the area’s facilities and services.
“We pride ourselves on our commitment to the local community at each of our new developments and we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to support the demand for new homes in East Bergholt.”
