A NEW dog grooming business offering cleaning, plucking, and walking has opened its doors in Harwich.
Barking Mad Harwich opened this morning following a successful at-home dog grooming service.
Leanne McBurney, assistant manager, said opening a store with manager Joanne Preston was the next stage for the business.
She added: "Where we are situated is right on the seafront and it’s a very good location."
Dry brushing, eye and ear cleaning, teeth brushing, ear plucking, anal glands treatments, nail clipping, and a puppy package for dogs aged under six months will be available.
Dog walking and dog-sitting, where dogs are fed, watered, and walked throughout the day while their owners are away, will also be on offer.
A full groom - including bath, blow dry, trim, nails, ears and eyes - costs between £35 to £55 depending on the size of the dog.
Meanwhile, puppy packages which further include playtime will cost £20.
The new store is kicking off with a Valentine's event today.
Its normal opening hours will be 9.30am to 5pm from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 2pm on Sunday, and closed on Monday.
