ALFIE Cerulli is confident Billericay Town can end the Isthmian Premier Division season in the play-offs.

Cerulli's late winner at Carshalton Athletic last weekend kept alive Town's hopes of a top five finish.

And, despite Billericay needed other results to go their way on the final day of the season this weekend, Cerulli still believes it is possible.

Speaking ahead of Town's home clash with Margate, he said: "We are feeling confident as we are in good form.

"We know Margate have good players and will bring their best so it’s important perform at the levels we know we can.

"We still believe it’s possible we will just have to hope results go our way and do our best to get the three points Saturday."

Billericay host already relegated Margate sitting just outside the play-off places.

But their superior goal difference means they can still finish as high as they fourth

To get into the play-offs, Billericay must beat Margate and either Wingate & Finchley or Horsham must lose.

Fourth placed Wingate host ninth placed Carshalton Athletic while fifth placed Horsham are at home to already relegated Concord Rangers.

However, Billericay will be focusing solely on their own game.

And they will head into it on a high after making it five wins in succession last time out.

"It was a really pleasing win," said Cerulli.

"It was really important that we made sure we got the three points and took it to the last game of the season.

"It’s always nice to score a winning goal but more importantly to get the job done as a team against a good Carshalton side.
