HARWICH Connexions is offering membership gift vouchers this Christmas – giving people a valid bus pass for the rest of year.
Harwich Connexions, a not-for-profit community organisation operating in Harwich since 2001, provides a number of services, including community transport, the Enterprise Centre, a 26-bed visitor hostel, and is home to both Noah’s Nursery and the Windmill Nursery.
This week, ahead of the Christmas season, Harwich Connexions has launched its first ever gift certificate worth £25.
Manager Debbie Hill said: “This is the registration fee for the dial a ride membership – you would still need a bus pass to travel with us for free.”
“We thought of this because people struggle sometimes with what to buy elderly people so we thought this was a good idea, for them to buy that for them.”
She added: “The other thing we are doing is full-cost trips. People can book us with to go the theatre and other things, with the trips being different prices.
“There will be many trips including a Christmas one to Clacton and another to Stanway for our ‘stop, drop, and shop’ service."
