The Mullion Cove Hotel is embarking on an ambitious development project that will result in luxury apartments and a new spa.

The award-winning hotel’s latest venture will begin this Easter with the opening of the luxury Harbour View Apartments, followed by the opening of the Mullion Cove Spa later in the summer.

Work is already well under way on the new apartments, just short walk from the hotel, sbove Mullion Cove itself.

This collection of four two-bed and three-bedroom apartments will provide year-round dog-friendly accommodation for visitors.

Development of the new spa has also already begun, with the aim of creating a relaxing and pampering space designed to reflect Cornwall’s rich tin mining history, through the use of silver, granite, brass and copper, combined with subtle Japanese influences. Facilities will include an indoor hydrotherapy infinity pool, sea-view steam rooms, saunas, salt laconicum and experience showers. Outside, decking will sweep around the edge of the building, leading to the hotel’s refurbished outdoor, newly heated swimming pool, hot tub, barrel sauna and outdoor seating area.

Guests will be able to enjoy treatments incorporating products using seaweed and salt products from the Lizard Peninsula, as well as packages for couples including a traditional Arabian rasul mud experience.

Mullion Cove’s general manager Daniel Thompson said: “We couldn’t be more excited about these new developments, which will enable us to provide a true year-round experience for visitors looking to enjoy the indulgence of our hotel facilities or the independence of our growing self-catering options.”
