CHILDREN and staff dressed in red and blue to raise money for charity in memory of a former caretaker.
The special red and blue day at Harwich Community Primary School was held to celebrate the memory of Kevin Spears, a former caretaker who died last April.
All the children and staffed joined in to wear his favourite colours, paying a donation to St Helena Hospice, where Mr Spears spent his last few weeks before he died.
Rachel Anderson, headteacher, said: “We where delighted to raise £178.10, which is going straight to the hospice on Mr Spears’ timeless tribute tree.
“Mr Spears was a much-loved member of staff and very well known by all the children, he is sorely missed by us all.”
