A LIFEBOAT crew rushed to help a yacht which was unable to move due to the lack of wind.
Harwich's RNLI volunteers were called just before 6pm on Friday to assist a 21ft yacht which becalmed close to the Woodbridge Haven Buoy.
A spokesman said the day had been scorching hot, with calm sea conditions and very little breeze which left the yacht motionless in the water.
By 8pm the lifeboat and yacht arrived safely at Shotley Marina.
Holbrook Coastguard Rescue Team was on hand to secure the boat and take it through the lock, into the marina.
By 8.20pm the lifeboat was back at the station to be refuelled and made ready for service.
