WORK on major improvements to a village hall will get underway in September.
Mistley’s village hall is set to be transformed to create a front lobby, increased storage and build new public toilets, as well as a wet room and toilet for Mistley Kids Club.
The project received a massive financial boost when it was awarded £50,000 by the Mistley Maltings Trust last month.
The project is expected to cost £112,000 in total.
Speaking at a meeting of Mistley Parish Council, on Tuesday chairman Martin Rayner said initial works would include installing central heating and double glazed windows.
