A REPORT on the future of the maternity services has been published by the North-East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.
Its acting chief officer, Sam Hepplewhite, said: “The conclusion of the maternity consultation will bring to an end the uncertainty around local maternity services, enabling a model of care to be delivered that is efficient, safe and of high quality.
“Both the clinical commissioning group and Colchester General Hospital are keen to ensure that the views of local women and their families continue to feature as a core aspect of service provision, guaranteeing that maternity services reflect the needs of the local population.”
