A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a serious accident on the A120 at Wix.
Four vehicles were involved in the accident at Colchester Road.
Highways England said a biker had been involved in the crash.
The accident happened at around 1pm.
The road is closed between Horsley Cross and the Harwich Road junction at Wix.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the A120 at Wix and find alternative routes.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were contacted just after 1pm with reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the A120 at Wix.
“It involved a silver motorcycle, a black Vauxhall Astra, a red Renault Clio and a blue Ford Ka. The male motorcyclist sadly died at the scene.
“The road is currently closed while the vehicles are recovered and initial investigations are conducted. It is hoped the closure will be lifted in the next hour or so.”
