Miss Box, 22, has amassed a following of more than 430,000 on Facebook, with her re-write of Shaggy’s It Wasn’t Me going viral with 30 million views.

The star striker has now released her first official single, I Don’t Want You Anymore.

Miss Box, from Colchester, said: “I started singing when I was a little girl.

“Everyone tells me I sang before I was talking.

“I used to watch Stars In Their Eyes and used to dress up and try to sing all the songs.

“When I left college I was gigging around London and uploading content to my social media page because I loved it, then it started snowballing.

“I did a response to Shaggy’s It Wasn’t Me and it went online when I was performing at Pizza Express in London.

"I took a sneak peak and I think within two minutes it was up to 700 likes, it snowballed from there.”

Miss Box aims to empower her fans.

She gets messages from people asking for advice every day and, despite being a busy footballer with Billericay Town Ladies’ manages to upload a video every week.

So far Miss Box’s videos have earned her 90 million views.

She said: “I absolutely love doing it and then I had a video that was a bit viral and got 1,000 likes.

“I am busy seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

“I am really active and I am really lucky to be doing something I love to do.”

She added: “It’s a bit crazy, I started uploading when I was 19. Probably for about six months it was my friends and family watching.

“The craziest thing was when I went to Turkey and someone there recognised me.”

In 2017, Miss Box charted at number three on the iTunes singer songwriter chart with her EP Love Languages above Ed Sheeran.

Her new single aims to give women an alternative voice while challenging typical stereotypes.

She added: “This track, and all my music, gives women an alternative girl power narrative.

“Just because we are female, it doesn’t mean you should stereotype us.

“We can like football and make-up, and not be pigeon holed as a tomboy or girly.

“We can break up with a guy and not be blubbering the next day without being an ice queen.

“We are just us.

“Everyone is individual and that’s it.”

Georgia Box’s I Don’t Want You Anymore is available to stream now on iTunes and Spotify.
